Story Time in Barnes & Noble Children's Department Watch your kids as they embark on an exciting adventure with our Storytime expert. We will introduce your little one to some of your childhood favorites, as well as read some you may have never heard before! Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m.

Kids are invited to a fun, drop-in Bubble Blast event at Millburn Library, where they’ll make giant bubbles with household items, experiment with shapes and sizes, and enjoy outdoor bubble play in the field near the parking lot.

Free outdoor live music series held Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Downtown Westfield during summer. All ages welcome; ideal for families, couples, and locals enjoying dinner, shopping, or strolls amid vibrant community energy.

Free outdoor movie nights at the Village Green on alternate Thursday evenings through summer. Families and all ages welcome; bring blankets/chairs, enjoy food trucks, and watch movies at dusk.

Patio Playtime offers unstructured, supervised outdoor play for toddlers and preschoolers at the Westfield Library, featuring toys, books, and gentle activities in a safe patio setting.

Féminin Pluriel is a solo exhibition by Québec-based artist Pascale Bouchard, showcasing her unique encaustic artworks at Reeves-Reed Arboretum. Open to all ages, the exhibit features layered, luminous pieces created with pigmented beeswax and heat.

Kids ages 7–12 can create a custom bookmark using decorative materials like paper, magazine cut-outs, and markers. The 45-minute program is held in the library auditorium and requires registration.

The Westfield June Street Fair & Craft Show returns in August 2026 at the Westfield Train Station, featuring local artisans, food vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities in a festive outdoor setting. Rain or shine.

Family-friendly Discovery Weekends invite families with children ages 3 and up to explore the Arboretum’s gardens and grounds during autumn. Activities center around the Stackhouse Education Center.

Free guided tours of the Arboretum are offered most Saturdays at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, open to all ages. Visitors can explore the grounds with knowledgeable guides.

The Summit Farmers Market operates every Sunday rain or shine from April to December 2026, 8AM–1PM, at the Park & Shop Lot on Woodland and Deforest Aves in downtown Summit, NJ. It features local farmers and vendors and is free to attend.

Vacation Bible Camp at First Congregational Church of Westfield is a weeklong faith-based camp for ages 3 through 5th grade. Kids enjoy drama, science, music, and cooking while exploring Bible stories.

Boogie Woogie Babies is a fun, interactive dance and movement class for infants and toddlers (ages 0–5) designed to engage both adults and children through songs, dancing, and fine motor skill activities.

Learn to play Mah Jongg at the library! All levels welcome. Bring your own tiles/card or some will be provided.

Connect with K’NEX! Children are invited to come and build with the K'NEX building toys this afternoon. Tables in the children's room will be set up with lots of connectors, clips, rods, and wheels for kids to build with on their own. See what you can create! Drop in. Children 8 and under must have a caregiver remain in the room with them for the program.

Join this summer D&D club at Millburn Library, designed for teens (ages 12+) and open to all—no residency required. Beginners welcome with no experience needed.
