Millburn Library's 2026 Summer Reading Challenge 'Unearth A Story' invites kids, teens, and adults to log reading for prizes—brag tags, books, prize wheels for kids; weekly raffle tickets for teens and adults. Open to all ages.

Theis a free hands-on learning experience that encourages skill-building and creativity in children ages 5-12. Skills such as following step-by-step instructions, working with hand tools like hammers and screwdrivers, and painting. The Workshops are hosted by store associates who also serve as Workshop Captains. Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian to assist them with completing the workshop kit. The time for completing the kits varies but usually takes 30 minutes. Each child can bring home a newly constructed project, a Kids Workshops apron, an achievement pin, and a certificate. These Workshops are held on the first Saturday of each month, starting at 9am, while supplies last, in all stores nationwide. Be sure to register to secure your spot. Story Time in Barnes & Noble Children's Department Watch your kids as they embark on an exciting adventure with our Storytime expert. We will introduce your little one to some of your childhood favorites, as well as read some you may have never heard before! Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m.

Story Time in Barnes & Noble Children's Department Hear some of your favorite stories and join in for some coloring afterwards! Every Tuesday and Saturday at 11am.

A summer preschool storytime series at Millburn Library for kids ages 4–6 with a caregiver. Includes stories, songs, movement, and a craft. Register for the full 5-week session (July 7–August 4); sessions run 45 minutes.

A summer Dungeons & Dragons club for teens (ages 12+) at Millburn Library. Beginners are welcome, and no residency is required.

Come in from the heat and do our brand new jigsaw puzzles with your friends. Have a snack, listen to some music and relax with puzzles! If you don’t finish, you can always check out the puzzles and finish them at home! Recommended for ages 8-12. Program will take place in Room B. Registration required.

Annual community gathering in Wildwood with free games, food, prizes, and a dunk tank. Family-friendly and aimed at building neighborhood unity and police-community partnerships.

Join Miss Katie and Muffin for a cozy indoor campout at Westfield Library, featuring campfire songs, stories, and snacks. Designed for children ages 2–6 accompanied by a caregiver, with limited space and tickets available day-of.

Free outdoor live music series held Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Downtown Westfield during summer. All ages welcome; families and adults enjoy dancing, dining, and strolling to performances at venues including Quimby Street and Foundation Park.

The 50th annual IAATO Italian Festival offers food, games, rides, live music, fireworks, raffles, and cooking demos. It runs Wednesday through Sunday and is a family-friendly community event.

Miss Katie leads a fun, interactive sing-along and dance session for young children and their caregivers. Designed for ages 0–5, it’s a joyful musical morning full of movement and song.

Join Jungle Jim the Paleontologist at the Millburn Library for a dynamic balloon show featuring巨型 dinosaur sculptures, interactive stunts like dodging meteorites, and fossil facts — designed for kids ages 4–12.

Free outdoor movie nights every Wednesday at sundown at the Gazebo in Memorial Park, featuring family-friendly films like 'Wicked for Good'. All ages welcome.

Free outdoor Shakespeare performances of The Taming of the Shrew presented by the Public Arts Commission in Downtown Westfield on August 5–6, 2026 at 7:30 PM. All ages welcome.
