During these dedicated hours, visitors are invited to explore the space with reduced sensory stimulation, creating a calmer and more accessible atmosphere for individuals and families who may benefit from a quieter setting. This sensory-friendly experience includes reduced lighting effects in select exhibits, with consistent, neutral lighting maintained throughout the space to support visual comfort and ease of movement. Crowd levels are intentionally lower during these hours to help minimize overstimulation and allow guests to engage with exhibits at their own pace. In addition, sound effects in certain exhibits are reduced, and overall ambient noise is kept to a minimum to promote auditory comfort. These thoughtful accommodations are intended to foster inclusivity and accessibility while preserving an engaging and enriching experience for all visitors. Clear signage, trained staff, and advanced communication further support guests in planning visits confidently and enjoying the experience comfortably and independently at ease. *In months when the first Friday falls on a holiday or coincides with special programming, an alternate date will be provided and communicated in advance.
